91. Superboy always wondered why Krypto insisted on visiting Gotham City when they were in the area. The truth was that during the months that Conner was “dead,” Krypto visited Tim in Gotham once per week. Sometimes he would help Tim patrol; sometimes they would play rooftop tag together; sometimes Krypto would just lie down next to Tim on a rooftop while he stared into space. Looking back, Tim wasn’t sure how he could have gotten through that terrible year without his best friend’s dog.

Krypto: Alex Ross

I love it when a drawn picture of a dog in a comic actually looks like, well, a dog. Even if Alex Ross’s cover is obviously photo-referenced, I love the expression and the fact that he seems to be standing on one of the New York Public Library’s lions.  Are those feathers swirling around, though?  Did Krypto just displace (or consume) a pigeon?
